just in case anyway one was thinking about making troll account to get forum privileges or simply applying to get privileges and cause havoc ; not gonna work out for u.
- because none of the staff members have serious forum powers, and most of it relates to moving threads and basic moderation, so requires my manual approval of deletion of of threads before they get deleted... so no platform there for sabotaging the forum. (there's a lot of that going around on clan forums, so makes sense to run things securely from my end, as possible). (also no commentator gets channel passwords- that would be plain stupid from my end, after many clan-forum attacks I've witnessed, successful ones too..lol)
-plus the staff groups are incremental, meaning trainees have no forum moderation powers at all, and seniors have no major powers that could ruin the forum. (for example seniors can move threads to bin, but im required to manually delete it, and seniors cant ban members only warn).. so no platform there to ruin forum by click-terrorism.
-so just writing this, to highlight the security, for those with militias intent. also there is time periods between staff seniority groups, meaning there is extended period over which u are contributing as a commentator before u go to more senior group, so this means u cant just apply then jump to senior position, you'll be contributing legitimate material as a commentator way before u go to senior staff group. so in other words apply; join staff , no contribute, then jump to senior position isn't possible -as you'd be revealed as a non serious commentator applicant early on, if no material is forth coming. (and even if u did, the fruits of senior staff membership wouldn't be enough forum powers to cause damage so overall would be pretty wasteful use of your own time).
just putting the system out there , so people know not to waste their time with dummy applicant. (that way it saves them and us time).
